In 2022, we organized our first summer school with a legendary group, during hot conditions, and we created together unforgettable memories.

On the weekend of July 19th to 21st, we're doing it again - three days of orthodontic passion, creating new relationships, celebrating summer together, and surely discussing a lot.

Dates:

Friday, July 19th, to Sunday, July 21st.

Content:

• 3 days of lectures, seminars, and hands-on workshops.
• 2 evening events (barefoot is okay, come as you are).
• For those interested, there will be a short follow-up research project.

Day 1: TADs and surgical orthodontics - update with hands-on.

Day 2: In-office aligners - update and hands-on.

Day 3: Case marathon and introduction to research projects.

Detailed content of the three days:

Day 1: Ortho-Surgery

Orthodontics in general is becoming increasingly interdisciplinary, and a sound knowledge of orthognathic surgery, TADs, surgical crown lengthening, periodontal surgery, SARPE, and bimaxillary surgery is absolutely necessary to be able to treat sophisticated situations. We will provide an update on TADs with hands-on training. The focus will strongly be on canine exposure and aesthetic gingivectomies with hands-on training and in-depth discussion of many other routinely used surgical techniques in our office. Additionally, we will provide literature and case studies to support the discussions.

Day 2: In-Office Aligners

Aligners, especially in-office made aligners, are a huge trend and hot topic. This will be a practical day from A to Z, covering everything from the scan to the final product. We will showcase different software options for aligner treatment, including VFA and DAP aligners. All discussions will be supported by literature, many case studies, and hands-on sessions.

Day 3: Case, Case, Cases, and Research Projects

On day three, we are all a bit exhausted, so we will make it an interactive day of case discussions and introduce a newly established module to create - for those who are interested - small research projects together. These projects will be published in the last issue of KIEFERORTHOPÄDIE in 2024.
